How to be a 2019 Kick Butt Boxing Babe
Boxing is the one sport where you don’t get penalized for creaming your opponent. In fact, you get rewarded. It’s kind of like, she who punches the hardest and takes the most swings… wins. So, in 2019, I have decided to become a boxing babe and box my way through 2019, making it my best year yet.
Don’t worry, I am not going to try and make an appearance on SMACKDOWN live. I don’t plan to have a career as a boxer. I haven’t completely lost my mind (not yet anyway). But I have decided that boxing my way through my life this year will be far more effective than making useless New Year’s resolutions that I normally break by 3 pm on January 1st. Instead, I am putting up my dukes, eyeing my opponents, and going in for the kill.
Kill, God, I just said KILL. Don’t worry, I am not planning to kill any living thing. I never want to say ‘Orange is the New Black’. Rather, I am planning to kill the obstacles that keep me from living my life to its full potential with my new boxing babe mentality. The obstacles are often the same resolutions that you make every year AND you break every year. You know what I am referring to, right? The things in life that keep you stuck: in bad relationships, bad jobs, bad habits, oh god…. bad fashion choices… well, you get the idea.
So here are my suggestions as to how you can become a Boxing Babe in 2019 and clean up your shit!
CLEAN OUT YOUR HOUSE BOXING BABE STYLE:
Only allow people around you who support your efforts. Anyone who puts you down, or doesn’t agree with your decisions about what you want to do with your life; well frankly, they have to go. In order for you to have success, you need to surround yourself with people who believe in you and applaud your efforts in life. It’s kind of like cleaning out your refrigerator and throwing out the expired food. Anyone who is not on TEAM YOU can no longer be around you. The minute you let go of people who are suppressing you, you are allowing space for better energies to enter. And they will. Because you are saying YES to you, you are allowing yourself to grow. Positive energy is attractive, so only surround yourself with positive, loving, supportive people who truly LOVE you.
GIVE UP BAD HABITS BOXING BABE STYLE:
So, you want to lose weight, or get more fit, or give up smoking, or stop drinking, or maybe start drinking. Whatever it is, resolving to do something doesn’t always work. But, guess what? DOING it does! So how do we make difficult changes that we know we should make, but most likely, really don’t want to make? Well, I think the key to life is moderation, and anytime you make even baby steps towards bettering your health, your mind, and your body, you are telling YOU that YOU count. So, this Boxing Babe is planning to ‘moderate’ the things I want to change. I am going to make positive efforts to take my bad habits, hey I know what mine are just as you know what yours are, and make a conscious effort to be mindful of them.
It’s like people who join a gym in January because they want to lose weight. And, they work out like crazy for three weeks but when they don’t see any changes or they get bored, they just …. QUIT GOING! Then, as they purchased a year membership in advance as part of their motivation to work out, they get pissed off that they wasted money and decide to drown their sorrows in a bag of chips and a bottle of Chardonnay.
So, how would my Boxing Babe strategy here solve this dilemma? Maybe, instead join a gym and plan to go twice a week. Make a commitment to what you can actually commit to. Don’t make the ‘change goal’ so difficult that you make the attainment of your goal, actually, unattainable. Moderation!
HAPPINESS BOXING BABE STYLE
Happy, we all want to be happy. The simple feeling of bliss that we have when we are happy. Do you want to know how to be happy? UHHHHHH… It’s kind of easy, just… be… BE FUCKING HAPPY! Laugh at your own jokes. Smile at yourself in the mirror. Smile at strangers. Say hi and give cuddles to dogs you meet on the street. Get to know the name of the guy who parks your car at the gym and smile at him. Let someone in front of you when you are driving, wave and smile at them letting them know you are making space for them. Say thank you to the guy who bags your groceries, ask the teller how her day is going, and then smile at THEM. Smiling really is quite contagious.
When you smile and live in kindness, happiness is a natural outcome. So, always notice all the wonderful things around you every day and let them bring you joy. Thank the universe for all the blessings you have, and tell yourself that you accept wonderful new ones coming in. Acknowledge the challenging moments, and then let them go. Believe that you can create your own happiness, and spread that happiness to others. By doing simple things every day, YOU can make you a happier person. Remember, positive energy attracts positive energy. So be happy, Boxing Babe Style, and kick some ass with kindness this year.
STAYING ON TRACK IN 2019 BOXING BABE STYLE
So, you know what you want to do, and you are taking steps to get there. But, how do you stay on the track of life and not get derailed when things don’t progress the way you wanted, or as fast as you would like? What do you do when a nail punctures your tire of life? Well, you pull out the nail, patch up the tire, fill it with air, and move on.
There will always be setbacks, frustrations, drama; basically, shit. Shit will always happen. But, you can’t let a bump in the road stop you from moving forward in life. Take the challenges and try to find the silver lining of every cloud. IT’S ALL WE CAN DO.
YIPPEE BOXING BABE TAKES CONTROL OF THE RING
I am boxing my way through this year, not taking any punches, and knocking out any obstacles that have kept me stuck and not moving forward in my life. I am taking control of the ring. THE RING OF MY OWN LIFE.
Why sit on the sidelines when you can own the ring?
