My first book – Where the Dogs Go!
My first book just came out last week! I have made mention of my impending book launch in a few of my blog posts. It is a story told from a dog’s perspective as he transitions through the many stages of his life, and how he handles the afterlife. As you know, I had a little dog named Canoli who is my muse for this story. Canoli was my puppy, my baby dog, and my best little buddy in Los Angeles; he was my family. Having to go through the pain of losing him, is a loss that still tugs and tears at my heart.
So, this book is not only a tribute to him, but it is also a tribute to anyone who has ever loved a dog. As well, it is a tribute to all those amazing canines out there that make the world a better place: their unconditional love, their loyalty, and the fact that they crack us the fuck up and bring smiles to our faces, makes dogs a gift sent directly from the heavens above. It’s a love story, a story of the love between a dog and its human. A story that humans know all to well, and in this case, so does the dog! I always felt I knew what Canoli was thinking, and truthfully I am channeling his energy throughout this ‘doggie tail’. The first 80 pages are truly based on our lives together, moments stolen from my memory and transitioned into a story. The last part of the book is as fictionalized as any book could ever be; yet, it embraces his essence, as his personality is definitely woven into the story line.
So, I guess you do write what you know. And I knew him, and he knew me, and I loved him and he loved me. I hope you enjoy my book, and share it with anyone who needs to be reminded that LOVE is our universe’s best gift…
Below is a link where you can get it on Amazon, it is also available on Barnes and Nobles…. I hope you enjoy my ‘doggie tail’! WOOF!
